The closest we've come to seeing a nest "boil" is watching a nest being evacuated 2 days before Hurricane Irene would have washed the whole thing away. But how cool would it be to see the little guys struggle out of their nest and crawl to the sea? According to statistics you have a better chance seeing a boil between 7/27 and 9/14...just something to consider when scheduling your vacation on the outer banks!

Hi Mark and Kathy, It was a nice surpise to , to see you post this morning. I check ya out every weekend to see if ther is any activity on your blog, The beach looks so peacefull, and I know the weather has been so mild. They say the shelling at the point has been some of the best ever, this fall and winter, it sounds like they are there for the picking . How long are you down for? hi joe! we're not down there this weekend, i was posting pics taken a few weeks ago (real estate hunting) and older irene pics. we get down there often enough that i have to check the datestamp on the pics!
