There was a whole lotta shakin' goin' on for most of the day Saturday, but we lucked out as the storm came up the "backside" of the outer banks...meaning up the sound. Good for us, bad for the soundside here on the island, and those on the mainland. Picture is of sunrise next day. Except for 2 residents (and us), the neighborhood completely evacuated. First slideshow will be of pics taken during the storm.

Goodbye Irene!
