Our Arrival following IDA

Not knowing what we'd find, we rolled into Rodanthe, worked thru the slow 'one lane only' sections, made it to buxton. halfway down our road and in a foot of seawater we clicked into 4wd, cause in front of us was a pile of new sand and i wasn't sure where it came from...the storm, an earthmover...and the pics were those we took as we hopped out. ..lideshow named "IDA". i'm really tired now...have you ever tried to dig out your water meter/valve in 3 feet of sand?
