"Just how close are you to the ocean?"

this picture was taken on our november trip. in the foreground is the van and trailer lent us by our good friends bob and theresa weiss. i'm talking to our neighbors from across the street. they're from charlotte, bought the place from her parents, who still come down and putter.

anyway, the day we were leaving, contractors working on a new house down the street (check it out on http://buxton-build.blogspot.com/) had blocked the road. so we pulled the rig across the street, and took some pics of the duplex with an empty driveway. then kathleen ran up the neighbor's stairs across the street and took a few pics of the ocean. so how close are we? that close...
