The Upstairs Unit is truly a "work in progress", but in many ways shows you what the downstairs looked like before we renovated it. Our plan is to have the Upstairs done by Easter, in a style less formal than Downstairs. For instance, the living room set is vintage Ficks-Reed rattan, and Kathleen will be busy over the winter making cushion covers. The Kitchen will remain vintage 60's, retaining the porcelain sink but with a few modern touches (ie new countertop, nicer shelving, a rolling island worktop, etc.
The lighthouse view is only from the south wall Kitchen window, but any view of the lighthouse is really neat...and we are so close to it that you can see the sweep of the light against the neighbors' houses from almost any window.
